After creating an account and logging in, I navigated to the Users tab and attempted to change my email address to something invalid. This was met by both a helpful error message as well as a type of poka-yoke device, highlighting the area in red and prompting me to "Enter a valid email address."
Other students have mentioned the dialog that YELLS at you when trying to navigate away from a form-in-progress. This is indeed fresh (and amusing) and cuts down on the confusion that ensues on other sites when a similar mechanism is employed.
