Kym Pagel - Blog 2

The site I chose was www.wikipedia.org, and to be specific I think that the language selection part of this page is obvious design. Namely, the Wikipedia logo surrounded by links in various languages.
If the user is not so familiar with foreign languages then he simply clicks on the link that he can read. Compared to the design of the other Wikipedia pages, this is easy to understand. There's a lot of white space on this page, which reduces clutter and confusion.
Also, it is pretty hard to mess up, and very easy to navigate back to this page. There's only two real options for most users: click on your language, or enter a search into the search bar (most users wont notice the list of Wikipedia sites at the bottom of the page). The first directs the user to the home page and the second to the article of choice, disambiguation, or search results .. depending on the input.
