Andrew DeVoe - Blog Post #5
The user's mental model is the way the user perceives it to function for their needs. This differs from an implementation model because the implementation model does not incorporate the needs of every individual. It is simply a rough idea of what would be 'ideal' in the design, but it doesn't have everything that's needed. It may include fancy tech features that aren't needed simply because they can be added, but it doesn't match up with the needs of the users.
